We’re excited to announce that Chelsea Gieryic, AICP, has stepped into a new leadership role as Deputy Director of Marketing + Communications for WxLA.

Chelsea, an Associate Planner and Landscape Designer at Livable Cities Studio and the incoming president-elect of the ASLA Colorado Wyoming Chapter, embodies these values through her commitment to inclusive design and community impact. Her new role with WxLA aligns with her dedication to advancing equity in the design field and supporting women in landscape architecture, with her advocacy work rooted in her professional practice focused on equitable, climate-resilient planning and public space design.

Known for her ability to unite people around shared goals, she approaches community building with empathy, intention, and a clear sense of purpose. With her leadership, WxLA will continue to thrive as a space where diverse voices are welcomed, supported, and empowered.

When asked what this opportunity means to her, Chelsea shared:

“I’m honored to support WxLA’s mission and help grow a platform that highlights the incredible contributions of women in our field. It’s a space that fosters community, sparks dialogue, and pushes our industry toward lasting, positive change.”

We’re proud to see Chelsea continue to lead beyond our studio and look forward to the energy and creativity she will bring to WxLA in this new role.
