The Sun Valley Neighborhood in West Denver, the lowest income community in the state with over 50% youth, is currently undergoing a massive redevelopment into a next-generation community – one that is a mixed-income, mixed-use community with new parks, streetscapes, international food market, micro-restaurant cluster, a youth hub and district energy systems. Sun Valley will incorporate the central principles behind the EcoDistricts Protocol, the approach of which is built around an interrelated set of environmental, economic and social performance areas: energy; equitable development; health and wellbeing; community identity; transportation; water; habitat and ecosystem functionality; and optimized material management.
Livable Cities Studio, Inc. is leading the planning, urban design, landscape architecture and entitlement work which includes extensive public engagement, project management and master plan refinements.
