Denver Moves: Downtown is the re-envisioning of Downtown Denver’s transportation system to provide the framework required to develop a cohesive multi-modal network within the central business district, Lower Downtown, and other Downtown neighborhoods to address the changing needs of our city. This plan focuses on increasing mobility options, placemaking, and economic development opportunities within the Downtown core.
Livable Cities Studio was part of a large multi-disciplinary team providing urban design services helping to guide recommendations that improve transportation and mobility, while also creating an enhanced public realm, increasing tree canopy, expanding water quality opportunities and improving pedestrian comfort. Specifically, each downtown block was individually evaluated for current public realm quality and opportunities were identified for improvement. Our studio also led the graphic design for numerous reports and documents, including the production of maps and other exhibits, to capture key project recommendations.
